Pushape Privacy Policy

The short version

Pushape collects nothing. Your training data never leaves your phone.

What the app stores

Your training history, settings, and progress are stored locally on your device (and in your device backups, which you control). There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. The app makes no network connections.

Face data (TrueDepth camera)

With your permission, Pushape uses Apple's ARKit face tracking through the front TrueDepth camera to count your push-ups. It reads exactly one thing: the distance, in real time, between the phone and your face, several times per second. That distance is used only in the moment, on your device, to detect the up-and-down motion of a push-up and increment your rep count.

Pushape does not access, use, or derive your facial identity, facial geometry, facial expressions, or any face map for any purpose. No face data of any kind — no images, no video, no depth maps, no facial geometry, and no distance measurements — is ever stored on your device, written to your training history, shared with anyone, or transmitted off your device. The distance value exists only in memory during an active set and is discarded immediately as the next measurement replaces it.

No face data is collected, retained, sold, or shared with any third party, and none is used for advertising or identification. If you prefer not to grant camera access, you can count every rep by tapping the screen instead; the app is fully functional without the camera.

Apple Health

If you enable it, Pushape saves finished sessions to Apple Health as workouts. This is off by default, uses Apple's HealthKit on your device, and can be revoked at any time in Settings. Pushape reads nothing from Health.

Notifications

If you enable training reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device.
